Roar’s Story

Roar lives on the west coast of Norway in a town called Kristiansund, a region blessed with outstanding nature - ocean, fjords, alpine mountains and deep valleys.  In his words,

“It’s my playground - skiing, hiking, cycling, and boating. I work as the leader of a regional tourist board. What good fortune I have to have a job selling a region filled with world class scenery, exciting activities, and charming small towns. This is where I live with my loving family: my wife Kirsti and two strong and beautiful daughters, Leah and Erle, age 12 and 14. I’ve always lived a very good life. That is, until a beautiful day some months ago. I sat alone in a local hospital, with a neurologist who had very bad news and poor people skills: “You probably have ALS.
