The Science Behind Nuedexta

Scientific studies have shown that Nuedexta has a beneficial effect on all bulbar symptoms in addition to pseudobulbar affect.

Dealing With Congestion

Congestion, the build-up of fluid or “swollen tissue” in the body—particularly the lungs and/or nasal cavities—poses great risk for ALS patients. The decreased ability of the diaphragm makes it difficult to sneeze out the excess mucus or cough up phlegm.

Methyl B12

As an intramuscular injectable, patients and caregivers have consistently reported to us that Methyl B12 provides energy and muscle strength and reduces limb weakness and atrophy in ALS.

The Logistics of Obtaining Methyl B12

Methyl B12 requires a physicians prescription and is only provided by a compounding pharmacy.

Mexilitine for Pain Relief

A study published in Neurology Magazine online suggests that people may find significant relief from muscle cramp frequency and severity by taking 300 mg per day of Mexilitine.

Alleviating Painful Cramps

Tizanidine, Baclofen and Quinine Sulfate all have the potential to provide relief from spasticity, rigidity and clonus that cause so many with ALS to suffer from painful cramping.
