"My wife Sheila and I were married in 1986. Sheila was the type of person to keep a smile on her face even when she had it hard. Her smile was enough to brighten anybody’s day. She had a big heart and she loved her family more than anything. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and one amazing friend. She loved to play piano and spend time with her kids and granddaughter Abbie.
She was diagnosed with ALS in 2010. Her Doctor told me that we should be put her in a nursing home, but she wanted to spend her final days at our house, and she did. My daughters and I took care of her up until the day she passed, August 25, 2013. She was only 50 years old. She is greatly missed and always loved.
I love and miss you sweetheart. I can still close my eyes and see your beautiful smile. Rest peacefully my angel.
I hope and pray that others with ALS use their time to live life to the fullest. I love each and every one of you. May God Bless you all."
