Rebuilding Together: Help With Home Renovations

At ALS Worldwide, we frequently receive questions about the expenses of remodeling a home to make it more accessible. ALS is an expensive disease and it can often be challenging to find the financial resources to modify spaces like bathrooms and bedrooms.

Fortunately for people living with ALS, there are organizations like Rebuilding Together that are available to help throughout the United States.

Rebuilding Together is a leading national nonprofit in safe and healthy housing with more than 40 years of experience. The organization strengthens the lives of our most vulnerable communities by providing low-income homeowners with CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS, ACCESSIBILITY MODIFICATIONS and ENERGY-EFFICIENT UPGRADES.

Rebuilding Together’s local affiliates and nearly 100,000 volunteers complete about 10,000 rebuild projects each year. They provide home modification and accessibility services (ramps, widening entryways, etc.) to those who may not otherwise be in a financial position to renovate a home to make it safe for its occupants, such as many living with ALS.
